05/05/20 Update (Maru Tipene)

Kia ora koutou week 2 back after level 4 lock Mike the builder and his team are working hard preparing the front of both Wharehui & Wharekai for concrete pour still waiting on building inspector to sign off stage work completion (will be here on Friday) so they can carryon inside so mostly prep work. Electrician has been in done what they can for now again building inspector, roofers have been in had to make extra measurements for Wharehui to finish off assuming they will also do spouting as well , painter has has been at it as well but I think he is running out of fine weather not his fault though, so there all caught up. I am sorry whanau I don’t reply back to all these awesome positive comments regarding the Marae build as I am not one for posting a lot on book face as I slowly type out this novel it’s like pulling hens teeth for me(really hate typing)I hope everyone has been loving their Bubbles just need to love it a little longer so we can expand our bubbles further I know this kupu Bubble is now one of the most annoying words in the dictionary, bubble this bubble that bubble bubble bubble but for now still necessary so enjoy, noho haumaru Arohanui Kia koutou katoa

24/04/20 Update (Maru Tipene)

Kia ora Whanau I apologise for being so slack and not posting enough but here is where we are at right now and Mike the builder was a little upset everyone has to go into self isolation for four weeks council has shut down needs building inspector to come in and do their thing so they can start installing the insulation and other work to carry on but now has to go on a forced holiday that isn’t going to pay the bills, but you know we’re all in the same waka ,so whanau be kind,be safe and give as much love to your families and those you surround yourselves with as we all move forward in this time of uncertainty safely in our homes whanau, Kia ora,arohanui Kia koutou katoa

Mike the builder saved us a lot of time and money this month, so thank you Mike. Today the framing has been arriving as they assemble ready to be put in place, the real concrete pour for for the foundations should happen on Monday but Mike says it may happen later on in the week as their schedule has put them behind a day or two.
